2016essentialscoverfinal-1The 12th issue of the ESVA Chamber of Commerce’s Essentials magazine is available. This magazine is not only the perfect guide for anyone planning to relocate to the Eastern Shore of Virginia, but for anyone who already lives here or is planning to visit. The articles include everything from small town locations to county regulations and everything in between.

As with every issue, all the photographs are local and donated by the photographers. If you happen to have any local photos, feel free to contact me and I’ll be happy to share them with our committee for consideration in future issues.

Bout-of-Books 13 Grand Prize Winner

BoB13-200x200Bout-of-Books 13 may have ended on May 17, but that isn’t the end of the fun for me. Once the Grand Prize winner is announced I get to play. This time around I got to help Emma from Words And Peace create some graphics to dress up her site and her Twitter page.

Emma organizes virtual book tours at France Book Tours. All genres represented, but all books have a connection with France

FranceBookToursButton180x180Emma has been book blogging at Words And Peace for almost 5 years. She reads all kinds of genres, but tends to prefer historical fiction as well as books in translation, especially from the French or the Japanese.

She is also an English-French literary translator, a French online tutor, and an artist, painting exclusively on rocks

Words And Peace is on FacebookTwitter, Google+Goodreads, and Pinterest.

It was a pleasure working with Emma and help her dress up her sites. Be sure to stop by and say Hi! when you get a chance.

The articles include everything from small town locations to county regulations and everything in between.

Oh… and this year’s edition is extra special for me because I kind of know the little guy on the cover personally… I’ve sneaked him in between the pages for several years now (one of the perks of being the designer) but this is the first year that he’s actually graced the cover. 😉

As with every issue, all the photographs are local and donated by the photographers. If you happen to have any local photos, feel free to contact me and I’ll be happy to share them with our committee for consideration in future issues.
